“At the end of September, the overdue payments by public entities amounted to 1.0076 billion euros, an increase of 366.3 million euros compared to the same period last year,” stated the document released by the Budgetary Entity.
In comparison to the previous month, the increase was 107.9 million euros.
The document attributes the annual growth to the health sector (375.9 million euros) and reclassified public entities (15.9 million euros).
However, this was mitigated by a decrease in local administration (-17.3 million euros) and regional administration (-11.7 million euros).
For the monthly variation, developments in the health sector (116.2 million euros) were noted, although this was “partially offset” by regional administration (-6.5 million euros) and local administration (-3.5 million euros).
