
A robbery occurred at a jewelry store located on Rua Melo Mexia, in the center of the Alentejo town, as reported by the Territorial Command of Évora of the GNR at 09:40.
Two men, suspected of being involved in the incident, used a bladed weapon to execute the robbery, during which the store owner was assaulted and subsequently killed, according to the same source.
Following the robbery, the two suspects fled, and it remains unclear if they successfully completed the theft.
The case is now under investigation by the Judiciary Police.
The site was attended by nine operatives from the GNR, the Arraiolos Firefighters, and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), supported by four vehicles.
