The proposals were voted on in general at the plenary session, approving the resolutions (recommendations to the Government) from Livre regarding the appreciation of firefighters, including volunteers, and from PCP on enhancing the firefighter career.
The plenary also approved resolutions from JPP and PAN recommending a new exceptional and transitional regime for equating sapper firefighters recruited from other careers.
Among the proposals on firefighter appreciation, the proposal from Chega was rejected. It aimed to grant a shift subsidy to members of special intervention teams working fully or partially at night.
