Party leaders, Marcelo and Aguiar-Branco, vote by noon.

Polling stations for the local elections open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., with political leaders, including the President of the Republic and the President of the Assembly of the Republic, choosing to vote in the morning.

President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will cast his vote in Celorico de Basto at a yet-to-be-specified time. The President of the Assembly, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, will vote at the Catholic University in Porto at 11:45 a.m.

Prime Minister and PSD President Luís Montenegro, as well as PS Secretary-General José Luís Carneiro, will be among the first party leaders to vote at 9 a.m.

Montenegro will cast his vote at Primary School No. 2 in Espinho, while Carneiro will vote at Alexandre Herculano School in Porto.

At 9:30 a.m., PCP Secretary-General Paulo Raimundo will vote at Alhos Vedros Basic School in Setúbal.

Livre’s co-spokesperson Rui Tavares is scheduled to vote at Gil Vicente High School in Lisbon at 11 a.m., alongside BE Coordinator Mariana Mortágua, who will vote at Basic School No. 1 in Arroios, Lisbon.

CDS-PP leader Nuno Melo will vote at Manoel de Oliveira School in Porto.

At 11:30 a.m., PAN spokesperson Inês de Sousa Real will cast her vote at Telheiras Basic School in Lisbon, and JPP leader Filipe Sousa will vote at Gaula Church in Santa Cruz, Madeira.

At noon, Chega leader André Ventura will vote at Parque das Nações Basic School in Lisbon, and IL’s Mariana Leitão will vote at Cesário Verde Basic School in Queijas, Oeiras.
