On Tuesday afternoon, an unusual incident occurred aboard a plane that landed in Portuguese territory.
This time, the scene involved a Ryanair flight departing from London Stansted, England, with two passengers engaging in a brawl after the aircraft touched down on the runway at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon.
Police were summoned to the plane at approximately 6:45 PM due to the altercation.
As a result of the incident, all passengers were held on the plane for about an hour.
It is not yet known if anyone was detained or identified.
The situation reportedly began mid-flight when a child started crying. However, tensions only escalated when the plane landed in Lisbon and was taxiing to the apron.
The released video footage shows several men standing in the aisle, indicating there was, or had been, a confrontation. One of the passengers was seen with his hands on his head. A child’s cries can be heard, and a mother tries to console her. “We’re okay now,” the woman says, possibly to her daughter.
