Pastel de Nata and Belém voted best cakes in the world

The Pastel de Belém and the Pastel de Nata are considered the best cakes in the world, according to the guide Taste Atlas.

Half a hundred cakes are included in the ranking, and the two Portuguese ones are at the top, with the “pastel de Belém” taking the first place and the “de nata” the second.

In the same list, there is another Portuguese specialty, the Berlin ball, in 26th place. The guide advises readers to try this sweet in Viana do Castelo, at the famous Zé Natário.
