The Brazilian artist Pedro Sampaio is the second confirmed performer for the next edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2026, promising to bring “the largest cavalinho in the world” to the festival.
The announcement was made in an unprecedented manner on Sunday night at the Rock in Rio Party at Bliss in Vilamoura, which featured a surprise performance by Pedro Sampaio.
“We believe in celebrating moments with our fans, and Pedro Sampaio is perfectly aligned with the spirit of Rock in Rio, synonymous with celebration, energy, and commitment. The announcement of his return to the festival was made in style, and his promise for the Palco Mundo in 2026 is in line with the festival: the largest cavalinho in the world, on the largest stage, before more than eighty thousand people. I’m sure it will go down in the history of Rock in Rio Lisboa,” said Roberta Medina, executive vice president of Rock in Rio, as quoted in a press release sent to newsrooms on Monday.
Pedro Sampaio, in turn, assured: “Lisbon, get ready! The largest cavalinho in the world will happen on the Palco Mundo. It will have cavalinho, it will have everything. It’s a promise!”
Pedro Sampaio is the second name announced for the next edition of Rock in Rio, following the confirmation of the American band Linkin Park at the end of May.

The Brazilian artist returns to the festival stage—which takes place on June 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2026, at Parque Tejo in Lisbon—after debuting in 2024.
“I have a huge affection for the Portuguese public, who welcomed me from the beginning. Every show there is special, but being on the Palco Mundo of Rock in Rio Lisboa, which is one of the largest festivals in the world, is truly a dream come true. You can expect an unforgettable moment,” emphasized Pedro Sampaio.
The date of his performance will be revealed soon, but according to the organization, “a show that will remain in the fans’ memory is already anticipated.”
It is noteworthy that Pedro Sampaio is one of the biggest artists in Brazil today, blending funk with other cultural rhythms of the country. “With a distinctive style, he stands out as one of the main representatives of the new generation of Brazilian funk,” reads the note sent to the newsrooms.
The producer and singer reached the top of Spotify Brazil and Portugal twice, with ‘Dançarina’ and ‘Popcoc’.
The artist also boasts singles with major global music names such as Anitta, JBalvin, Luisa Sonza, Pabllo Vittar, Marina Sena, Ana Castela, Nicky Jam, Dadju, among others.
He was also nominated for the Latin Grammy with the single ‘Joga Pra Lua’, in the category of Best Urban Performance in Portuguese Language.
