The Social Security Institute (ISS) has announced that several social security statements are available online “quickly and securely”. This information was shared through a statement on its portal.
The Social Security Portal features a specific section for Statements that allows citizens fast access, eliminating the need to visit a service desk to obtain them, as stated in the released note.
All statements available in this section boast a standardized layout and present all relevant data in a more intuitive and comprehensive manner.
Additionally, they include a verification code, enabling other entities to confirm the authenticity of the printed statements.
Upon authenticating on the Social Security Portal, navigate to the Statements section and select the desired document, Social Security advises.
Which statements can be obtained online?
According to the ISS, the Social Security portal offers access to the following nine statements:
- Pension receipt: The monthly pension receipt includes details such as the amount received, deductions, and payment methods.
- Contact proof statement: This statement lists identification details, including the Social Security Identification Number (NISS), the Tax Identification Number (NIF), registered phone number, email address, and address.
- Family Benefits situation statement: This statement verifies the status of benefits where you are an applicant, holder, or recipient, including Family Allowance for Children and Young People, Pre-Natal Family Allowance, Disability Bonus, Allowance for Third Person Assistance, Educational Establishment Attendance and Special Education Allowance, and Funeral Allowance.
- Unemployment Benefit statement: This statement verifies the Unemployment Benefit status, covering benefits from the selected date to the current date, with a maximum period of five years.
- Contributory Career statement: This statement includes recorded values, with the option to review by year and month. A career review can be requested in case of discrepancies.
- Pensioner situation statement: The statement allows the selection of information to be presented, such as the received amount, starting date, and IRS withholding.
- Inclusion Social Benefit situation statement: It indicates the values expected to be received in the base component and the complement component of the benefit.
- Sickness Benefit situation statement: This provides the allocation period and daily allowance amount.
- Parental Benefit situation statement: The statement specifies the allocation period and the daily allowance amount.
