“There is no disagreement between us, and therefore, we are determined to conclude this preventive investigation,” stated Amadeu Guerra following the conference “Cybercrime in Focus – Trends and Prevention in the Digital Era,” held today at the headquarters of the Judiciary Police in Lisbon.
At this moment, added the Prosecutor General, the magistrates responsible for the preventive investigation are “analyzing the existing documentation,” ensuring that they want to complete this work “as quickly as possible.”
The director of DCIAP, Rui Cardoso, further added, also after leaving the conference, that “there has been constant communication among the magistrates who have the case,” pointing to “total harmony” in the work being done.
“We are currently analyzing documentation received from various entities,” he added.
These statements – both from the Prosecutor General and the DCIAP director – follow the report from last week by CNN/TVI that the prosecutors responsible for the preventive investigation into Spinumviva believe a criminal inquiry should be opened regarding the Prime Minister, a decision to be made by the Prosecutor General.
Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that the preventive investigation related to the company Spinumviva is ongoing, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office is still awaiting documentation, so the inquiry continues.
