Seven individuals were arrested by the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) on Tuesday, August 26, across several cities in the Central and Southern regions of the country. They are suspected of committing aggravated extortion crimes, specifically ‘sextortion’, and money laundering.
In a statement provided to Notícias ao Minuto, investigators disclosed that today they conducted 14 searches, both residential and non-residential, in Albufeira, Almada, Aveiro, Moita, Montijo, Setúbal, and Sintra. These operations resulted in the arrest of the seven suspects, which include five men and two women, aged between 20 and 46 years.
