The Judicial Police have specified that the incident occurred within the galleries of the Santa Bárbara Shopping Center.
“For trivial reasons and in a violent manner, the suspect attacked the victim using a knife,” the statement adds.
It further states that due to the serious and multiple injuries, the victim was at risk of life and had to undergo surgery and hospitalization.
At the time of arrest, the suspect was found in possession of narcotics, specifically a small cannabis plantation and a grow chamber intended for drying the substance.
The detainee will be presented before the competent judicial authorities at the Court of Guimarães for an initial judicial interrogation and the application of coercive measures.
