A man was arrested in the district of Braga on suspicion of committing the crime of child pornography in Spain.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Judiciary Police (PJ), the suspect is Portuguese and 50 years old.
“From June 2020 to January 2021, the suspect allegedly placed a camera in the victims’ rooms, capturing intimate images which he used for personal gratification, downloading them onto a social network for the purpose of sharing with others,” the authorities stated in the report.
The PJ indicates that the events took place in the Málaga region. The suspect has already appeared before the Court of Appeal of Guimarães, and it was determined that he should “await the further terms of the extradition process in preventive detention.”
