In the “Ctrl+C” operation, the Criminal Investigation Department of Braga executed non-residential search warrants aimed at ceasing potential illicit practices related to the unauthorized use and distribution of protected software, as well as unauthorized access to computer systems or content, the investigation police described.
The operation was accompanied by specialists from the PJ’s scientific police, who analyzed various computer equipment and documents considered relevant to the ongoing investigation, the press release adds.
The PJ also notes that the investigation is continuing under an inquiry directed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Barcelos.
