A man was found unresponsive on the ground by a passerby at 07:25 on Rua da Fonte da Vila, in Estarreja, authorities stated. Upon the arrival of emergency services, it was determined that the man showed no signs of life, and a doctor from the National Institute of Medical Emergency pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officials disclosed that the man bore “signs of an impact,” yet it remains unclear whether he was the victim of a traffic accident or an associated crime, either intentional or negligent. Due to the suspicion of foul play, the case has been transferred to the Judiciary Police, who were summoned to the scene.
