The Local Criminal Investigation Unit (ULIC) in Évora reported that “the man is unidentified and appears to be between 60 and 70 years old.”
The Judiciary Police are gathering information to identify the man and are awaiting the autopsy to determine the cause of death, it was noted.
The body was transferred to the Legal Medicine service at the Évora hospital.
The Alentejo Central Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command stated the alert for the incident was given at 1:53 PM, mobilizing 18 operatives from the Évora firefighters and PSP, supported by six vehicles.
