
A young man was injured on Sunday night after being shot at the Odivelas festival grounds, as confirmed by police sources. The Judicial Police (PJ) is currently investigating the incident.
The victim was transported to São José Hospital in Lisbon.
According to the fire department, the young man had turned 18 last month and sustained serious injuries.
The victim was shot in the epigastric area, the upper right limb, and a lower limb.
The alert was raised at 11:50 PM, reporting gunfire at the Odivelas festivities.
The Public Security Police (PSP) were called to the scene, along with Odivelas firefighters and the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from Santa Maria Hospital.
It is unclear if any arrests have been made or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The case is currently under the jurisdiction of the PJ.
The Odivelas festivities took place at Parque Urbano do Silvado from July 4 to 13. On the last day, a tribute concert for Mamonas Assassinas was held.
