The rapper Plutónio, whose real name is João Colaço, was arrested in Torres Vedras early Saturday morning after performing in the area, and was subsequently released.
This development was confirmed by police sources to Notícias ao Minuto. The arrest took place at 1:05 a.m.
The arrest was the result of a warrant issued by the Criminal Court of Cascais that called for his “constitution as a defendant” and required a “term of identity and residence.”
Plutónio was taken to the Torres Vedras police station and was later released.
João Ricardo Azevedo Colaço, age 40, better known by his stage name Plutónio, is a Luso-Mozambican rapper and is considered one of the leading figures of Portuguese hip hop.
