The ASPP/PSP union has announced plans to hold a protest in front of the official residence of the Prime Minister on June 17, 2025, starting at 17:30. The decision follows a meeting where it was determined that the demonstration would take place if an interministerial order from the Ministry of Internal Administration and the Ministry of Finance, including the pre-retirement list for 2025, is not issued by May 31, 2025.
In January, the ASPP/PSP called off a protest in front of the Ministry of Internal Administration. This protest was initially organized to address the delay in publishing a government order permitting 500 PSP officers to enter pre-retirement, a list that was eventually released for 2024.
At that time, the union warned that it would organize a similar protest if the pre-retirement authorizations for 2025 were not announced by the end of May.
The number of police officers eligible for pre-retirement is determined based on availability, operational needs, and the induction of new officers. This figure is set annually based on a proposal from the national director of the PSP.
