In the proposal, which Lusa had access to today and which will be discussed at the public meeting on Monday, the mayor, Rui Moreira, clarifies that it is the intention of the municipality and the Porto Metropolitan Area (AMP) “to renew the appointment of Dr. Luís Osório to the board of directors of Casa da Música for the 2024-2026 triennium.”

The board of directors of the Casa da Música Foundation is composed of seven members, with one appointed by the municipality of Porto and the AMP.

Luís Osório was appointed for the 2021-2023 term and remained in office until July 23.

The new board of directors of Casa da Música was elected on July 23 for a three-year term, with manager Isabel Furtado as president.

In addition to Isabel Furtado, the newly elected directors are Frederico Silva Pinto, Carla Chousal, and António Marquez Filipe, the latter two reappointed from the previous administration.

The Council of Founders of Casa da Música proceeded with the election of the four members of the board of directors, designated by the private entities that integrate it, for the 2024-2026 triennium.

The State, through the Ministry of Culture, had already appointed Álvaro Teixeira Lopes and André Tavares.
