“Porto Sounds Secret” from March to November with concerts by 4 women

The new edition of “Porto Sounds Secret” kicks off on Saturday at 5:00 PM with a concert by pianist Marta Menezes at the Teatro Helena Sá e Costa as part of Piano Day, announced by Ágora in a statement.

In the context of the ‘Ecos de Pinho Vargas’ program, a project that pays tribute to composer António Pinho Vargas, the pianist will present a series of themes offering new perspectives on a repertoire central to Portuguese musical identity.

On June 1 at 3:00 PM, Rita Redshoes, along with the ‘Chinfrim’ project, will take the stage for a family-oriented show that focuses on common themes from children’s daily lives, such as reluctance to bathe, pets, or best friends.

The artist, accompanied by two performers on stage, is promoting this concert for various generations, inviting everyone to actively participate.

On September 21, the stage will belong to Mozambican singer Selma Uamusse, who has lived in Portugal for over 30 years.

The artist will perform live some of the influences that have made her one of the most recognized names in the fusion of various musical styles, emphasized Ágora.

Concluding this series of concerts, on November 23 at 6:00 PM, will be A Garota Não.

“Cátia Mazari Oliveira’s project is about to release a new album, following ‘2 de abril’, and promises the premiere of this new work in Porto,” highlighted Ágora.

The singer reflects on current times through her music, noted the municipal company.

Ágora clarified that the venues for the concerts in June, September, and November will be announced shortly before the events, adding that all will be free to enter, subject to space capacity.
