Portugal can now export fresh poultry meat to Israel, but all the processes carried out in this first phase will be reviewed after the “regularization of the political situation” in the country, announced the Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary (DGAV).
“As part of the authorization for Portugal and its operators to export fresh poultry meat to Israel, the DGAV is inviting all interested operators,” reads a statement released today.
By January 19, operators wishing to enable their establishments to export to this market must notify the respective DGAV regional services.
The processes that will be carried out in this first phase will be subject to reassessment “once the political situation in Israel has been regularized”.
The DGAV is a central service of the State’s direct administration, with administrative autonomy.
