Portugal Capital Markets Day aims to promote investment in listed companies.

The event will feature the participation of 55 international investors, who will engage in 263 interactions over two days with 13 Portuguese companies listed on Euronext Lisbon.

The number of participants, hailing from major European financial centers as well as Singapore and New York, is 40% higher than in the first edition held in 2024. According to the president of Euronext Lisbon, this increase “demonstrates the interest of investors in Portuguese companies.”

Miguel Athayde Marques, president of the board of the AEM – Association of Securities Issuers in the Market, which co-organizes the event with Euronext Lisbon, emphasized Portugal’s ability to attract international investors and the need to promote the capital market to boost company growth and the Portuguese economy.

On the first day of the event, a study coordinated by Filipe Santos, director of Católica Lisbon, will be presented and discussed. The study focuses on the role of innovation and infrastructure as competitive advantages for Portugal in attracting international investment.

The conference will open with the presence of Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and a presentation by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Paulo de Macedo, on the prospects for the Portuguese economy.

The chairman of the CMVM, Luís Laginha de Sousa, the CEO of CTT, João Bento, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of REN, João Conceição, are also invited speakers.

A panel discussion on regulation will include Paul Mihailovitch, head of investment banking at J.P. Morgan.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz, will be the guest at a dinner with the participants.
