The Minister of Economy and Maritime Affairs, António Costa Silva, has just announced a new Portugal Ventures call for tourism worth 10 million euros. The announcement was made this morning at the Visit Portugal Conference in Lisbon.
The two objectives of the new line are “to strengthen the capitalization of companies for expansion” and “to promote aggregation and consolidation”, advanced the Minister of Economy and Sea.
For the governor, it is necessary to “give scale” and “specialize” the companies in the sector so that they can compete in foreign markets.
“Often, small companies, if they join together, […] can reduce costs, gain scale and compete in international markets,” the minister pointed out.
