Portugal will be at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

According to a statement from the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers (APEL), 60 publishing brands will be showcased. These include 11×17, 5 Sentidos, Albatroz, Areal, Arteplural, Assírio & Alvim, Aurora, Bertrand, BIIS, Braga em Risco, Casa das Letras, Casa Sassetti, Cascais Editora, Contraponto, Cultura Editora, Desrotina, Edições ASA, Livros do Brasil, Pergaminho, Caminho, Presença, Ella Sher Agência Literária Unipessoal, ETEP, FCA, Fundação de Serralves, Gailivro, Ideias de Ler, IN Edições, Instituto Piaget, and Jacarandá.

Other imprints that will be present include Leya, Lidel, Lua de Papel, Lucerna, Manuscrito, Marcador, Myvi Global Travel, Oficina do Livro, Ator, Crianças Pactor, Paleta de Letras, Particular, Pass Edições, Porto Editora, Primeira Edição, Principia Editora, Quetzal, Quinta Essência, Quiquí Editora, Rede sem Fronteiras – Letras Graciosas, Sete Mares, Sopa de Letras, Talento Editora, Temas e Debates, Texto Editores, and Zero a Oito.

The world’s largest book fair, focused mainly on the commercial exchange of rights, will also feature representation from the Directorate-General for Books, Archives, and Libraries (DGLAB) and APEL at the Portuguese pavilion located in ‘Hall’ 5.0, stand A125.

APEL states, “The Portugal stand, renovated in 2024, remains comfortable and spacious, with optimized book display areas that promote each publishing brand effectively.”

“Welcome and support services will be available to all Portuguese participants and visitors, including wi-fi, a printer, national coffee, and friendly conversation,” it adds.

The 77th edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair features the Philippines as the guest of honor, under the theme “Imagination fills the air.”
