A 43-year-old Portuguese man residing in Norfolk, England, admitted in court on Monday, September 8, to attempting to communicate with a 14-year-old girl in a sexual manner.
Ricardo Sousa is charged with attempting to engage in “sexual communication” with a minor and attempting to make her “watch/look at an image of sexual activity,” according to Great Yarmouth Mercury.
Yesterday, Sousa admitted to trying to contact the 14-year-old girl from November 4, 2023, to February 27, 2024.
He also pleaded guilty to “attempting to make the same victim watch/look at an image of sexual activity during the same dates,” according to the same publication.
Judge Andrew Shaw, presiding over the case, postponed the sentencing to November 7, seeking to gather comprehensive information about Sousa and assess his “dangerousness” to determine if he is a “sexual offender” or if this is an isolated incident.
