A Portuguese and a Venezuelan national have been detained in Mexico on suspicion of involvement in a violent robbery committed in Metepec approximately three months ago.
The robbery occurred on May 23. The suspects allegedly approached the victim with a firearm in a shopping mall parking lot to steal a luxury watch before fleeing the scene.
The Portuguese man is identified as Julio N., aged 45, while the Venezuelan man is named Yoswen N., aged 27.
The pair reportedly fled in a white Toyota Corolla, which was recently located near La Marquesa.
After being identified and detained, the suspects were taken to the police station, where they await the imposition of restrictive measures.
The State of Mexico’s Penal Code, as noted by a local source, stipulates that if convicted, the suspects could face up to three years in prison and a fine exceeding 3,000 pesos, approximately 150 euros.
