A 22-year-old Portuguese man has been arrested in Malta on suspicion of being involved in the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, September 7, near a nightclub in the city of Ta’ Qali.
Authorities received an alert at 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, reporting the situation. Upon arrival, they found the British national victim receiving initial medical assistance.
The young man was later transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Security personnel at the nightclub had detained one of the suspects until police arrived. The other suspect was also located shortly afterwards.
One suspect is Portuguese, aged 22, and the other is British, aged 21. Both were arrested and are currently awaiting legal proceedings. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
At present, there is no update regarding the condition of the injured individual.
