
A fatal traffic accident occurred this morning on the “road from Sumbe to Luanda,” the capital of Angola, resulting in the deaths of two Portuguese nationals, a man, and his minor daughter, according to an official from the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The accident was caused by a truck that collided with the car. The driver, a man, and his minor daughter were killed,” the ministry official reported.
The car also contained a woman, who is believed to be the driver’s mother, and another male child of the driver. Both passengers were taken to the hospital where they are under observation, the official added.
The Consulate General of Portugal in Benguela and the Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Lubango are monitoring the situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs source confirmed.
