A Portuguese national, in a state of delirium, attempted to enter the cockpit of an easyJet flight from Lyon, France, to Porto, Portugal, last Friday night. The aircraft was compelled to return to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport.
The 26-year-old made the attempt shortly after takeoff, as confirmed by the airline. Fellow passengers restrained the individual until the plane arrived back at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport, where he was apprehended.
Authorities reported that the man underwent medical examinations, which indicated he was experiencing nausea and delirium. Consequently, he was admitted to a local hospital.
After the passenger was removed, flight EJU4429 continued to Porto, landing at 10:54 PM, according to the information on the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport website. The scheduled arrival time was 6:50 PM.
