A Portuguese man was shot dead in Colombia’s capital last night.

Two foreign nationals, one Portuguese and the other Venezuelan, were murdered in the Colombian city of Bogota, near the Corferias convention center, as they left an agricultural fair on Wednesday evening.

According to the country’s press, the suspects who shot the victims used guns with silencers and, after firing, fled the scene on a motorcycle and are now being sought by the authorities.

The convention center reacted to the double homicide, expressing disgust at the “acts of violence that occurred in the vicinity of the fairgrounds”. “Since the presentation of the facts, Corferias has been in permanent contact with the competent authorities to provide all the collaboration and follow-up that is necessary. Corferias expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims,” he wrote in a statement posted on social media.
