According to Sony Music Portugal, a newly released statement confirms that MARO and Ana Moura have created an extraordinary Portuguese cover of the song originally requested. Adapted by MARO & NASAYA and featuring both artists’ voices, this rendition aligns perfectly with Vince Gilligan’s vision.
The singer MARO shared a video on social media showcasing an excerpt from the song, which ends the seventh episode of Vince Gilligan’s series, known for his work on “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”.
“Aquarius/Let the sunshine in” was initially composed in 1967 for the musical “Hair”.
The record label indicates that currently the track is available exclusively on a streaming platform, and it will be included in the series’ soundtrack, with a release planned shortly.
The series “Pluribus” premiered on November 7 this year, with new episodes released weekly on Fridays.
The ninth and final episode of the first season will be available on December 26.
Soon after the series’ debut, Apple TV announced a second season, although filming has not yet started.
According to the synopsis available on the streaming platform, “Pluribus” follows “the saddest person in the world who must save the world from happiness”.
“Pluribus” has received two Golden Globe nominations, with winners to be announced on January 11: Best Drama Series and Best Actress in a Drama Series (Rhea Seehorn).
