
A pregnant woman, approximately two months along, stabbed her partner following an argument in the early hours of Thursday, November 20, in Paranhos, Porto, confirmed an official from the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP).
This incident occurred around 1:00 AM. According to the authorities, the 31-year-old suspect stated that the event unfolded during a “nervous” moment amid a dispute. The 39-year-old partner allegedly pushed her, prompting her to grab a kitchen knife and stab him in the chest.
The man was taken to Hospital de São João, also in Porto, but his life is not at risk.
The pregnant woman was detained and is expected to appear for her initial judicial hearing later in the morning. This case involves, as the PSP reminds, a crime of domestic violence.
Alongside the PSP, an Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle (VMER) was also present at the scene.
