The President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini, will undertake a state visit to Portugal on November 26 and 27, invited by President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. This announcement was made today on the official website of the Portuguese Presidency.
This visit follows President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s trip to Slovakia in December 2024, during which he met with President Pellegrini and visited the National Detached Force contributing to the security of Slovakia and the eastern flank of Europe, the statement detailed.
The Portuguese presidency highlighted that the state visit by Peter Pellegrini signifies the significant partnership between Portugal and Slovakia on a bilateral level, within the European Union, and the Atlantic Alliance.
