A source from the Republican National Guard (GNR) revealed that the suspect appeared today for a preliminary judicial hearing at the Grândola Court.
The court ruled the most severe preventive measure, and the man was taken to the Setúbal Prison, where he will await the progression of the case, according to the same source.
A statement released on Wednesday by the Guard detailed that the arrest was made through the Grândola Territorial Post, which dispatched officers following a crime report. The officials “intercepted the suspect, who was inside the private property.”
The GNR, as noted in the statement, confiscated various materials from the suspect used in committing such offenses.
The man has a criminal history involving similar offenses, the Guard added.
