The Court of Bragança has ordered preventive detention as a coercive measure for a man charged with attempted qualified homicide, according to a publication on the page of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“The court applied the preventive detention measure to the defendant, considering the risks of continued criminal activity and serious disturbance of public order and tranquility,” the publication states.
The inquiry, directed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Bragança District Court (Mogadouro Court of General Jurisdiction), led to the suspect’s presentation, caught inflagrante, for a judicial first hearing to apply coercive measures on Saturday.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office noted that following the Saturday hearing, “the court strongly indicated the defendant’s involvement in an attempted qualified homicide, which occurred mid-morning last Thursday in Mogadouro.”
