In a statement, the Central Directorate announced that on April 28, a suspect was arrested for setting fire to his neighbor’s vehicle, with whom he had an ongoing dispute.
“Following a heated exchange of words between the two, the suspect armed himself with a container of gasoline, poured the fuel on the victim’s vehicle, and set it ablaze using a lighter,” the Judiciary Police (PJ) described.
According to the PJ, the fire completely destroyed the vehicle and spread to the victim’s residence, with the quick response of firefighters preventing further extensive damage.
“The incident stems from a disagreement over a shared access path to adjoining lands owned by both the suspect and the victim, which has generated several episodes of verbal and physical confrontations,” the statement elaborated.
