The National Republican Guard (GNR) announced that a man was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit (NIC) of the Almada Territorial Detachment on the 3rd of this month.
For approximately three months, an investigation was conducted into six crimes of aggravated theft and one robbery committed in Charneca da Caparica, Monte da Caparica, and Almada, the Guard reported.
GNR officers carried out police actions that led to the identification and location of the suspect, as stated in the announcement.
Pursuant to these actions, two house search warrants were executed, the Guard added.
The suspect, who has a criminal record for similar offenses among others, was presented for an initial judicial interrogation at the Almada Judicial Court, which imposed the preventive detention measure, it was further noted.
