
A police source revealed that the 45-year-old military officer has been remanded in custody and will be held at the military prison in Tomar.
The Judiciary Police announced on Friday the arrest of the military officer, which took place the previous day. The officer is accused of not formally registering or falsifying several statements of infraction and misappropriating fines paid by offenders, resulting in a loss to public funds. The officer faces strong accusations of document forgery, computer fraud, and embezzlement during his tenure in the police force.
