The monthly report released today by the regulator indicates that the efficient price with margins for May is 31.22 euros for the T3 propane bottle, marking a reduction of 6.2% compared to the efficient price with margins of 33.20 euros per bottle set by the regulator for April 2025.
ERSE clarifies that these variations do not, in themselves, constitute irregular commercial practices, serving only for monitoring purposes and promoting market transparency.
The evaluation of the bottled LPG market takes into account factors such as sector concentration, the diversity of commercial offers, and alignment with international quotations, which fell again in April. The price of propane decreased by 24.5%, and butane by 19.7%.
The ERSE analysis also highlights that Prio maintained the lowest average commercial offers in April in the propane segment (2.661 euros/kg), followed by the “others” segment — which includes bottles sold in supermarkets — with prices around 2.818 euros/kg.
In the butane segment, OZ Energia presented the lowest offer (2.584 euros/kg), closely followed by Cepsa, with average prices around 2.635 euros/kg.
The regulator also reminds that consumers can choose between butane and propane, depending on storage conditions and temperature, as long as the bottle reducer is compatible.
