A 28-year-old man was arrested on May 6 on suspicion of domestic violence against his former partner in the parish of Rio de Mouro, Sintra.
The individual, who was already subject to “restraining orders and prohibition of contact”, forcibly entered the victim’s home without consent and allegedly committed physical assaults inside, detailed the Public Security Police (PSP) in a statement released to the media on Friday.
The suspect was caught in the act and presented to the Lisbon West Judicial Court – Sintra Division the following day for an initial judicial hearing.
The young man was placed in preventive custody.
This operation was conducted by the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, through the Sintra Police Division.
