The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced in an online statement on Monday that charges have been filed against a GNR officer. The indictment, made on November 14, accuses the officer of attempted embezzlement and computer fraud.
The alleged criminal activities took place on November 17, 2020. Investigations suggest the accused entered false data into the GNR’s computer system, listing services he did not perform, in order to receive bonuses.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office noted that the officer did not receive these funds due to the intervention of other GNR officers.
