
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has charged 15 individuals with drug trafficking in the Lagarteiro neighborhood, Porto, and in Espinho, it was announced today.
In a statement published on its website, the Porto District Attorney General’s Office detailed that the illegal activity, which allegedly took place between June 2023 and December 2024, was led by a couple residing in Porto, along with the other 13 defendants who trafficked hashish, heroin, and cocaine to consumers and intermediaries in the Lagarteiro neighborhood in Porto, as well as in the city of Espinho.
According to the District Attorney, three of the defendants are also charged with the crime of possessing a prohibited weapon.
The charges were filed on June 2.
As reported, four of the defendants are being held in pre-trial detention, while another is subject to non-custodial measures.
