“IAPMEI announces the enforcement of a new payment methodology, allowing for a 50% advance of the incentive to the beneficiary entities of mobilizing and green agendas,” the organization stated in a release.
The financial impact of this advance is estimated at 75 million euros, based on the expenditures reported in the third quarter.
This amount is expected to increase as project implementation progresses.
This measure was approved by the Recovery Portugal Mission Structure, established to negotiate and monitor the execution of the PRR—Recovery and Resilience Plan, and will be applied in the next payment request to be submitted by the agendas in October.
According to IAPMEI, this mechanism will enable the acceleration of strategic investments and “ensure greater continuity in project execution.”
The measure applies to beneficiaries of mobilizing agendas and green agendas for business innovation.
The PRR, with an execution period until 2026, aims to implement a set of reforms and investments for the recovery of economic growth.
In addition to its goal of repairing the damage caused by COVID-19, this plan intends to support investments and create employment.
