The European Commission has disbursed today 1.06 billion euros in grants to Portugal, following the country’s seventh payment request under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
This payment covers 27 targets and milestones in sectors such as health, housing, forest fire management, renewable energies, and improvements in the business environment.
In a statement released today, the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Castro Almeida, stated that this payment is “further proof that Portugal is committed and rigorously executing the PRR, without delays and aiming not to lose a single euro of the PRR grants”.
The minister added that the remaining milestones and targets associated with the three outstanding payment requests will be met within the planned deadlines.
