PS leader Luís Patrão dead at 68

PS national leader Luís Patrão died at the age of 68, a party source told Lusa today.

Luís Patrão was chief of staff to two prime ministers, António Guterres and José Sócrates, MP, secretary of state and was currently a member of the PS standing committee.

Graduated in Law from the University of Coimbra, he was responsible for the administration and finances of the PS since 2014 and born the December 8, 1954 is was:

  • Lawyer (University of Coimbra), Senior Public Administration Officer
  • Member of Parliament in the 2nd and 8th Legislatures and Secretary of State for Home Affairs 1999/2000
  • Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the XIII and XVII Government
  • PS National Secretary for Administration and member of the Standing Committee
