Decisions were made during a meeting of the PSD National Political Committee, which, through a statement, released the list of the latest candidates backed by the Social Democrats for municipal councils, in anticipation of the local elections on October 12 this year.
Among the choices made by the PSD Political Committee are the expected endorsements for the re-election of Carlos Moedas as President of the Lisbon City Council and Fernando Ruas in Viseu.
This PSD leadership body also highlights the candidacies of Hélder Sousa e Silva, former mayor of Mafra, now for the Almada City Council, and the social-democratic deputy Cristóvão Norte for the Faro City Council.
