An officer from the Faro District Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) was involved in a domestic violence incident over the past weekend.
“This incident occurred within the jurisdiction area of GNR Faro, and both parties needed to be taken to Faro Hospital for medical treatment,” stated the security force in a communiqué to media outlets.
It was further indicated that “the Judicial Police were called in and took over the investigation, with the officer being named as a suspect.”
Psychological support was provided to the officer, and a disciplinary process has been initiated.
