The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested three men on Monday in Porto on charges of drug trafficking. Authorities confiscated over 1,600 doses of cocaine and another 2,400 doses of heroin, among other drugs.
The operation in Bairro Dr. Nuno Pinheiro Torres, Porto, was initiated following a tip-off about drug trafficking in the area. During the proceedings, one of the suspects attempted to evade the authorities but was subsequently apprehended.
The men, aged 22, 23, and 47, reportedly conspired to carry out drug trafficking activities, according to the PSP. In addition to the police operation, 1,621 doses of cocaine, 2,437 doses of heroin, six doses of hashish, and ten doses of liamba were discovered, alongside more than 2,500 euros.
The officers involved in the operation also seized a firearm and a bladed weapon.
The detainees are scheduled to appear before judicial authorities this Tuesday.
