PSP detains 4 people and identifies 50 in operations in Martim Moniz and Baixa

The PSP conducted two complementary operations in Lisbon’s Baixa on Wednesday, which led to the arrest of four men, the identification of 50 citizens, and the seizure of various stolen items, it was announced today.

In a statement, the PSP noted that during the operation held on Wednesday afternoon at Largo de São Domingos, three men were arrested, one for the crime of robbery and two for receiving stolen goods, in an ongoing act.

According to the statement, several items linked to the crimes in question were apprehended, and “a smartphone valued at approximately 1,200 euros was returned to its rightful owner.”

Later, in a police operation conducted in Martim Moniz Square and adjacent streets, 50 citizens were identified, one man was arrested for being in an irregular situation in the country, and several official records were filed for possession of a 5.56 mm caliber ammunition and possession of narcotics, including one daily dose of cannabis and one daily dose of hashish.
