The Public Security Police (PSP) announced that a young man was detained on Wednesday following the issuance of an arrest and conduction warrant. The individual faces strong evidence of committing several robberies characterized by violence and psychological intimidation against students.
Authorities revealed that the suspect was allegedly an accomplice of a 16-year-old minor, who was arrested on the 18th of the month and is currently held in pre-trial detention on identical charges.
Investigations indicate that the duo targeted victims on their routes to educational institutions, threatening them while wielding a bladed weapon, to steal money and mobile phones.
The detainee appeared this morning at the Aveiro Judicial Court for the consideration of potential preventive measures.
